New 38-Camera CCTV Installation Completed at Rowans Hospice, Purbrook
We’re proud to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive 38-camera CCTV system at Rowans Hospice in Purbrook. A project focused on enhancing safety, reassurance, and overall site security for staff, patients, and visitors.
Requirements
We first met with the team at Rowans Hospice back in December, when concerns were raised about the limited CCTV coverage across the premises. Particular attention was drawn to external areas and car parks, where staff reported feeling vulnerable in darker, more secluded parts of the site.
Following a detailed consultation, we designed a bespoke CCTV solution to address both internal and external requirements, ensuring full coverage across key areas while maintaining the welcoming and sensitive environment that the hospice provides.
Technology
The final system consists of 38 high-performance cameras, carefully positioned to maximise visibility and coverage. This includes:
6MP static cameras for high-definition monitoring of internal and fixed external areas
360° PTZ dome cameras to provide flexible, wide-area coverage across the site
Cameras mounted on 4.5m winch-down Altron posts within the car park areas
To support the installation of the external infrastructure, we coordinated groundworks and ducting, allowing all cabling to be neatly and securely routed to the new camera positions.
To preserve the aesthetic of the hospice’s landscaped gardens, the Altron posts were finished in RAL 6020 green, ensuring they blend seamlessly into the surroundings.
